Help us move forward to charity status
The time is ripe for Meningioma UK to become a registered charity. Over the past seven years we have proved the need for this support group, and, despite our limited resources, hundreds & hundreds of people have benefited from the support we offer to meningioma patients and carers wherever they live.

To meet Charity Commission regulations, Meningioma UK supporters will in future be known as Friends and not "Members". Information and support will continue to be freely available on request -see Friends and Donations.
Brain tumours of all kinds are increasing which will mean more meningioma patients than ever will be seeking treatment and support. Improvements in surgical procedures and radiotherapy allow us to leave hospital earlier than in the past, and many of meningioma patients return quickly to normal life, but this is not true for all of us.
And, despite the improvements, meningioma tumours still cannot be treated without invasive treatments like surgery, nor can they be "turned off". We would like to see Meningioma UK play an active role in raising funds for better treatments and helping us to improve support and aftercare for brain tumour patients wherever they live. We believe these aims can be targeted when we have achieved charitable status. We hope you agree.
